ICBF and Sheep Ireland are delighted to announce a unique opportunity for postgraduate students and early career scientists to win the Brian Wickham travel bursary prize to attend the World Congress on Genetics Applied to Livestock (WCGALP). The WCGALP is held every 4 years and is considered the premier international conference for livestock genetics and will be hosted in Rotterdam between the 3rd and 8th of July this year. We are very grateful to Brian Wickham (former CEO) for his support of young scientists and for making this award possible.

Please consider applying for this travel bursary if you are a postgraduate student or young scientist (graduated in the last 3 years) and your research;

  1. Has relevance to one of the WCGALP sessions, and
  2. Has relevance to ICBF and Sheep Ireland strategic goals
