Following the release of the HerdPlus Beef Calving Statistics we have taken a closer look at some important Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s).

The national average for % of heifers calved 22-26 months of age is 24%. When we break this down county by county we can see some big difference in performance. County Waterford is leading the way with an average % of heifers calved 22-26 months of age figure of 36%. This is 20% better than the average % of heifers calved 22-26 months figure in County Sligo of 16%. Cork, Kilkenny, Tipperary and Carlow complete the top 5 counties for % of heifers calved 22-26 months while Galway, Westmeath, Roscommon and Leitrim join Sligo at the bottom of the list.
