ICBF will be present at the National Ploughing Championships this year as part of the Irish Farmers Journal / ICBF / Bord Bia Livestock Demonstration and the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine stand where we will be taking Beef Data and Genomics Programme (BDGP) queries.
Livestock Demo
The benefits and uses of the EuroStar index and all things genetics will be discussed at the Beef Livestock Demonstration. The demonstrations will take place at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm over the next 3 days at the Irish Farmers Journal Stand. ICBF’s Chris Daly, Pat Donnellan and Niall Kilrane will be speaking at the demo’s over the 3 days. There was a great interest in these live demos last year and it is great to be involved again this year.
Located beside the NPA HQ and opposite the Innovation Arena (Block 3, Row 12, Stand 264), this year’s Irish Farmers Journal stand will be a hive of activity.
BDGP Queries
ICBF will be again present at the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine stand where we will be taking Beef Data and Genomics Programme (BDGP) queries alongside staff from DAFM. Again it is great to be on hand to offer help and advice to herd-owners involved in the BDGP.
