BEEF 2018

‘€nhancing Knowledge’

Date:  Tuesday, 26th June 2018

Venue: Teagasc, Animal & Grassland Research and Innovation Centre, Grange, Dunsany, Co. Meath

About the Event

Teagasc are delighted to invite all beef farmers and stakeholders involved in the Irish beef industry to Teagasc Beef 2018, on Tuesday, 26th June at the Teagasc, Animal & Grassland Research and Innovation Centre, Grange, Dunsany, Co. Meath.

The theme of this event is ‘€nhancing Knowledge’. The short-term outlook for beef prices in 2018 is good; however, in the medium term there will be significant challenges around Brexit, reform of the Common Agricultural Policy and climate change. The emphasis of BEEF2018 will be on highlighting those technologies that will help underpin the future profitability of the beef sector.

Teagasc Beef 2018 is your opportunity to see at first hand Teagasc’s comprehensive research and advisory programme and meet key stakeholders in the beef industry including ICBF. We look forward to meeting you on June 26th.

ICBF will be taking part in an interactive, live animal demonstration on selecting tomorrow’s Suckler Cow, along with with Teagasc and the Irish Farmers Journal. We will be located at point 13 on the map below. The HerdPlus team will also be on hand to take Beef Data and Genomics Programme (BDGP), Whole Herd Performance Recording Programme (WHPR) and general HerdPlus queries. We look forward to seeing you there.
