‘HIGH CLUE AMELIA’, owned by Jonathan Harte, Sandymount, Templeboy, Co. Sligo is the top Euro-Star replacement index Piedmontese cow in the country with a Euro-Star value of €207.She is currently in her 10th lactation and she is sired by ‘ZAINO’ (ZAI).

Second on the list is ‘LUNA’ owned by John Commins, Black Castle, Two-Mile-Borris, Co. Tipperary with a Euro-Star value of €203. This cow is on her 10th lactation and has an average calving interval of 379 days. She is also sired by ‘ZAINO’ (ZAI). Third on the list is ‘CLOUGHSAN HARA’ also owned by John Commins, Black Castle, Two-Mile-Borris, Co Tipperary. She is a 3rd lactation cow with a Euro-Star value of €193 and an average calving interval of 359 days. This cow is sired by ‘LASER’ LZS. Interestingly John Commins has in fact nine cows making the ‘Top 20’ Piedmontese list, more than any other breeder.
