‘ACTUALITE’, owned by Gerald Harney, Lisnagranchy, Ardrahan, Co. Galway is the top Euro-Star replacement index Parthenaise cow in the country with a Euro-Star value of €233.She is currently in her 8th lactation and she has an average calving interval of 374 days. She is sired by ‘TOUPET’. As well as having such a high index ‘Actualite’ has also proven herself as quiet the brood cow having bred Lisnagranchy Hulio (AYH) , a high replacement index AI sire formally progeny tested in the ‘Beef Gene Ireland Maternal Progeny Test Program’. Hulio is 5 stars within the Parthenaise breed and 5 stars across all beef breeds with a Eurostar index of €154. ‘Actualite’ has also bred ‘Lisnagrancy Gertie’ (pictured below as a calf) who is number four on the current list with a Eurostar value of €188.

She is sired by ‘RUGISSANT’. Third on the list is ‘KILLOWEN VICTORIA’ owned by Bernadette Scally, 52 Silken Vale, Maynooth, Co. Kildare. She is a 8th lactation cow with a Euro-Star value of €191. She has an average calving interval of 369 days. This cow is sired by ‘BOLEY HOUSE RON’.
