The September 2021 evaluation figures are now available for all dairy and beef animals. The ICBF Animal Search, Active Bull Lists and Stock Bull Finder have all been updated. Farmers subscribed to the HerdPlus service can view their animals new evaluation figures through the various online profiles. Reports (EBI, Euro-Star, BDGP Eligibility, etc.) will be updated over the coming weeks. Farmers will be notified by text as soon as these reports are available online.
New Records
On the dairy side there are some 423,844 additional milking speed records added to the September evaluation, an addition of 4.1% extra records bringing total milking speed records to 10,676,254. SCC added an additional 381,530 records to this evaluation while overall milk records added some 1,210,425 bringing total milk records to 42,267,881.
In terms of beef records, there are some 44,841 additional cow live weights and some 17,133 additional 450-550 day live weights added to the September evaluation. Beef Carcass data added an additional 111,071 records to this evaluation.
Over 2.5 Million Genotypes
Genomics saw some 73,785 added for this evaluation bringing the total number of genotypes included in the latest evaluation to 2,550,539. Some 5,995 additional liver fluke records were added to the September evaluation, an addition of 1.3% extra records bringing total liver fluke records to 470,893.
