The latest version of the ICBF HerdPlus app is now available for farmers. This update contains lots of new features including:
- View your herd’s Movements Profile
- Record Pregnancy Diagnosis
- Search for animals on the animal search by Name/Prefix
- View your herd’s Beef Calving Statistics
View your herd’s Movements Profile
Allows users to view animals moved in and out of their herd. Users can select a date range and view the animals moved in/out in that period. The profile also shows the movement type e.g. mart, factory, etc. and shows the destination/source herd number. It can be accessed by logging into the ICBF HerdPlus app and under the ‘Profiles’ dropdown you will see ‘Movements’.
Record Pregnancy Diagnosis
Allows users to record ‘Pregnancy Diagnosis’ for each breeding female in the herd. This screen includes features such as linking to a previous serve and recording pregnancy diagnosis to a stockbull serve. Days in calf’ and ‘serve bull’ will automatically populate to match ‘last serve’ and ‘last bull’. If this information needs to be changed you can change the number of ‘days in calf’ manually. Users can also record scanning results for a group of animals in one go.
Animal search by Name/Prefix
Users can now search for an animal by its name or herd prefix if the tag number/AI code is unknown. This can be found under the Applications menu on the side bar. The ICBF Animal Search allows herd-owners quick access to search for males and females in HerdPlus/SCEP herds and view their EBI/Euro-Star indexes.
Beef Calving Statistics
Beef calving and fertility statistics are now available to view on the ICBF HerdPlus app. This allows herds to fully assess their calving performance through Key Performance Indicators such as Calving Interval, Calves per Cow per year etc. These KPIs can be used to inform breeding and management decisions in the coming year. These statistics can be accessed via the Profiles dropdown, labelled ‘Beef Calving Stats’.
