ICBF has just launched a new profile which will allow herdowners to view animals moved in and out of their herd. Users can select a date range and view the animals moved in/out in that period. The profile also shows the movement type e.g. mart, factory, etc. and shows the destination/source herd number.

There are over 4M Genotypes in the national database and counting. ICBF is the largest Beef Genomics database in the world.

That’s ‘Billion’ with a ‘B’ (Over 80 times the population of China). SNPs are the most common type of genetic variation between animals.
