ICBF is delighted to invite farmers, industry stakeholders, advisers, researchers and members of the public to attend the Tully Progeny Test Centre Open Day on Tuesday, 8 September 2026.

The ICBF Tully Progeny Test Centre is Ireland’s national cattle performance testing facility and plays a central role in the research, innovation and data collection that underpin national breeding programmes.

This free event provides a unique opportunity to visit the facility, meet the team and learn about the latest developments in cattle breeding, performance recording and sustainability research.

What to Expect

Visitors will have the opportunity to explore a range of research and innovation areas, including:

  • Genomics & Herd Genotyping
  • Efficiency & Sustainability
  • Methane Measurement & Emissions Reduction Research
  • AgNav: Supporting Farm Sustainability
  • Commercial Beef Value (CBV) in Practice

Guided groups will depart at regular intervals throughout the afternoon, allowing attendees to visit each station and engage directly with the research and technologies being demonstrated.
