The Gene Ireland Progeny test centre recently slaughtered 49 bulls at Slaney Foods International, Bunclody, Co. Wexford. The progeny were sired by 25 different AI sires across 10 different breeds. The group consisted of 49 September, October and November 2016 born bulls. (more…)

Janus (BA2) was a Blonde d’Aquitaine bull that was born on the 10th of June 1974. He was one of the first ever Blonde AI bulls and was imported from France. His semen was marketed by Dublin District Milk Board (Progressive Genetics). (more…)
Declan and Paula Murphy run the Arlinstown pedigree Hereford herd in Ballinhassig, Co. Cork. There are over 140 pedigree animals currently in the herd. This includes 50 cows. The Arlinstown herd was founded by Declan’s uncle Jerry Murphy in the early 60s. (more…)
