A late entry into the Beef Gene Ireland Terminal panel, Castleview Reece is from the renowned Castleview Limousin herd of Sean O’Sullivan, Castleisland, Kerry. This young bull promises to bring both maternal and terminal qualities to any herd he is used in.

Sired by Cameos to a Ronick Hawk dam, this bull has an impressive lineage. His sire, Cameos is a French bull with excellent growth rates and muscle, without compromise on maternal traits. He has been proven in France through the French Maternal bull programme. He has great milk (+4.10Kg) and a fantastic terminal index (€131). His maternal grandsire, Ronick Hawk is a renowned cow maker, with a great replacement index (€132) and a lot of milk (+5.10kg).

Reece is 4 stars on the replacement index (€108) and 5 stars on the terminal index (€149), with a carcass weight of +32.6Kg, which puts him in the top 4% of bulls nationally for the carcass weight sub-index. He is +2.32 for conformation, which also puts him in the top 4% for conformation across all breeds. This bulls terminal figures are fantastic but he also brings great milk (+4.00Kg) to his females and easy calving traits (4.37% daughter calving difficulty).

Castleview Reece comes from the same herd as Castleview Gazelle (ZAG) and Castleview Gringo (GWO), both graduates of the GI programme and favourites for many pedigree and commercial suckler farmers.
