As scanning season gets underway, don’t forget to record your Pregnancy Diagnoses on ICBF.
Recording Pregnancy Diagnoses helps maintain accurate breeding records, fertility reports and herd performance information. Results can be recorded using the ICBF HerdPlus app or through your ICBF account online.
The quickest way to record Pregnancy Diagnoses is through the ICBF HerdPlus app, which is available to all ICBF HerdPlus members.
Record Pregnancy Diagnoses on the HerdPlus App
Step 1: Open the HerdPlus app, select Record Events and then tap Pregnancy.
Step 2: Find the animal by searching for her Jumbo number or by scrolling through and filtering the list.
Step 3: Tap on the animal to open the recording options.
When In Calf is selected, the animal’s Days in Calf (DIC) and serve bull will automatically populate based on the most recent serve recorded.
If required, both the DIC and serve bull can be adjusted before saving. Once you are happy with the details displayed, tap Record to save the result.
Record Pregnancy Diagnoses Through Your ICBF Account
Alternatively, Pregnancy Diagnoses can be recorded through the ICBF website.
The Pregnancy Diagnosis screen is available to all ICBF users and allows pregnancy results to be recorded for breeding females in the herd, including pregnancies resulting from AI and stock bull serves.
Simply log in and navigate to:
Record Events > Pregnancy Diagnosis
Step 1: Locate the cow or heifer you wish to record.
Step 2: Select In Calf, Empty or Twins from the Preg Checked dropdown menu.
Step 3: The system will automatically populate the Days in Calf and serve bull based on the latest serve recorded.
If the information needs to be updated, you can:
- Adjust the Days in Calf to link the pregnancy to an earlier serve.
- Change the serve bull where required, including pregnancies resulting from a stock bull.
Step 4: Save your records before leaving the screen.
If an incorrect Pregnancy Diagnosis is entered, it can be removed by clicking on the animal’s FB Jumbo.
