Last Friday night, ICBF’s Andrew Cromie received the Irish Grassland Association’s (IGA) Lifetime Merit award at a special event in Kilkenny.

Andrew began his career with ICBF in 1999, and it was the key role he played in the delivery of on-going innovations which was highlighted on the night. From the introduction of the EBI and the Gene Ireland programme, to the beef Euro-Star Index and Genomics, Andrew has played a leading role in helping to drive profitability in the Dairy and Beef industry.

His long career with ICBF and his six year term on the IGA council, including a year as president, has seen many distinguishing highlights of which we can all be proud of.

We look forward to many more years of innovative thinking from Andrew.
