HappyMoo – developing tools to monitor cow health

ICBF is participating in a large-scale European research project called HappyMoo. The project aims to develop tools to identify cow welfare issues before they become a problem and affect performance. There are many different aspects to cow welfare and essential among them are freedom from hunger, stress, and disease. These are the areas that the HappyMoo research project is focusing on.

Elphin, Ballinasloe & Cahir Marts selling BDGP Eligible Females Wednesday 21st

Elphin Mart will have a sale of BDGP eligible females tomorrow. The sale starts at 11am. Ballinasloe Mart will have a sale for BDGP eligible females after the cows are sold which starts at 11am and before the regular heifer sale. Cahir Mart will also have a sale of BDGP eligible females with the sale starting at 12pm. All entries can be viewed on the ICBF Herdplus app.
