New SCEP-Eligible Filter Added to Mart Tracker — Don’t Miss the 31st October Female Deadline

A new update has been added to the ICBF Mart Tracker: the ‘SCEP Eligible Filter’ that lets you view animals that qualify for the Suckler Carbon Efficiency Program (SCEP) scheme. With the deadline of 31st October fast approaching, this tool will assist farmers looking to source females.

The Mart Tracker now offers a filter that shows only those females eligible under SCEP (i.e. genotyped 4 or 5 star on the Replacement Index, within or across breed, and at least 16 months old on the 31st October). When browsing marts through the Mart Tracker, you can narrow listings down to those that count toward the female replacement target. This saves you the time of scanning through all lots, instead you can instantly see which females already qualify under the scheme. This update builds on earlier improvements, such as the SCEP Eligibility tab in the ICBF Animal Search.

Note: Under the 2025 SCEP requirements, 65% of your yearly reference number must be met via eligible females by 31st October 2025.

Having a clear, filtered view of what’s available at marts makes it much easier to source animals that will count towards your scheme requirement. With just a few weeks left, this filter will help farmers quickly identify SCEP eligible females, which could determine whether your herd meets the required target.

How to Use the Filter (Step-by-Step)

  1. Visit the Mart Tracker via the ICBF website.
  2. Choose your mart of interest (only marts running on that day will be displayed).
  3. Apply the SCEP Eligible filter to narrow the listings via the filter menu at the top of the screen.
  4. View animal details – lot number, age, Replacement Index and breeding data.
  5. To view additional details on the animal, search the tag number in the ICBF Animal Search.
  6. Note lot numbers in advance so that when you arrive, you can go straight to pens with qualifying females.
  7. If there are no qualifying animals for your needs, you avoid wasted time at the mart.
