The first calves from the 2016 Gene Ireland beef bulls are currently being born on farms. Pictured above is the very first Gene Ireland sired heifer to calve. She is a genotyped 5 star with a replacement index of €102. She is sired by the Angus bull JZJ CAIRNMOR JAMESON. This heifer calved at 22 months of age. She is pictured here with her heifer calf at foot. The heifer calf is sired by ZAG Castleview Gazelle who has a replacement index of €152 making him 5 stars both within and across all breeds.
