IT Systems Developer – Graduate Programme

  • Post Category:News

Do you want to work with the latest computer programming technologies as we head into a ‘Big Data’ environment? Do you want to work with a dynamic young team of professionals helping ensure profitability for Irish farmers while working in a high-tech environment?

If the answer is Yes, then ICBF may be the place for you.

ICBF is the leading provider of Information based cattle breeding services to the Irish dairy and beef industry. We are based in Bandon, Co. Cork (30 mins from Cork city).

Our services are based around the provision of information services to farmers combining a suite of the latest technologies (e.g. Oracle, PHP, VMWare, SAS) with large volumes of data, including DNA profiles, and the latest genetic evaluation techniques.

ICBF is looking for an IT related, degree course graduate to join our hard working and dedicated team. We’ve made great progress over the last number of years, and are looking to build our information systems development team. We may not be as big as other IT companies, but as a result you will have the chance to gain a much broader and deeper skillset in a short space of time. In addition, you will have the chance to make a difference to Ireland’s largest indigenous industry.

You will need to be self-motivated, coupled with a strong technical aptitude, and with the enthusiasm and drive needed to climb a steep learning curve. An appreciation for the Irish agri-food industry is useful, but not mandatory.
