The first calves from the 2016 Gene Ireland beef bulls are currently being born on farms. Pictured below is a Gene Ireland sired Cow. She is a genotyped 5 star with a replacement index of €112. She is sired by the former Gene Ireland Simmental bull APZ Curaheen Apostle. This cow first calved at 24 months of age and has a calving interval of 361 days. She is pictured here with her heifer calf at foot at just 1 day old. The heifer calf is sired by Gene Ireland sire SI2152 Curaheen Earp.
