Software Developer – Graduate Programme

Do you want to work with the latest computer programming technologies as we head into a ‘Big Data’ environment?

Do you want to work with a dynamic team of professionals in the hi-tech area of genetics and animal information systems?

If so – We want to meet you!

ICBF is the leading provider of information based genetic services to the Irish dairy and beef industry employing approx. 50 people in our Bandon (15 mins from Cork City) office.

Our work is based around the provision of information services to the wider agri-food industry combining a suite of the latest technologies (e.g. Oracle, PHP, Zend, HTML5 & Analytic Technologies) with ‘Big Data’, including DNA technologies, and the latest genetic evaluation techniques.

ICBF is looking for an IT related, degree course graduate to join our hard working and dedicated team. We’ve made great progress over the last number of years, and are looking to build our information systems development team.

We may not be as big as other IT companies, but as a result you will have the chance to gain a much broader and deeper skillset in a short space of time.  In addition, you will have the chance to make a difference to Ireland’s largest indigenous industry.

You will need to be self-motivated, coupled with a strong technical aptitude, and with the enthusiasm and drive needed to climb a steep learning curve. An appreciation for the Irish agri-food industry is useful, but not mandatory.

Are you up for the challenge?

If you are interested in making a difference, please forward your CV – tell us a little about yourself and why you think you are the person we need for this position.  ICBF, Highfield House, Shinagh, Bandon, Co. Cork      email:  [email protected]
